What you'll learn

Disagreeing doesn't make you rude — disagreeing badly makes you rude. In this episode, Maya and Leo teach you how to push back, say no, and hold your ground in English — without sounding rude, aggressive, or cold.

Made for intermediate learners (CEFR B1–B2). You'll learn softening language ("I think," "maybe," "a little"), partial agreement ("I see your point, but…"), asking questions instead of attacking, polite interruption, the sandwich method for sensitive moments, and the 3 magic sentences for any disagreement.

Key phrases this episode
